Bogue Chitto —
Father & Son Trail Time.
A day with Braxton, a pair of mountain bikes and a reminder that time together is the part worth measuring.

Braxton and I took a day trip to Bogue Chitto State Park to ride. We came for the trails, but what stayed with me was simpler: uninterrupted father-and-son time.
The miles are only part of it.
Mountain biking makes you pay attention. You choose a line, keep your momentum and recover when the trail interrupts your rhythm. It is endurance in a form you can feel immediately—but the best part of this ride was sharing it.

Not every meaningful family story needs a milestone. Sometimes it is a truck, two bikes and a day set aside for one another.
A room full of stories.
The day also brought us to Graycat CycleWorx in Hammond. Its walls are filled with bicycles from different eras—machines shaped by craftsmanship, use and the miles their riders carried them through. For someone who loves cycling, it is the kind of room that slows you down.

We closed the outing with a stop at The Real Deal An American Kitchen . A good day does not have to be complicated: ride hard, look around, eat something worth stopping for and make the time count.
